Feedback:

Presentations and Workshops covered a wide range of topics, recognising the responsibility we all have to make sure that every child is benefiting equally from the opportunities we have in Scotland. Key speakers included:

- Aileen Campbell, Scottish Government Minister for Children and Young People: "Leading change for the children's sector." 
- Stephen Drew, Headteacher, Brentwood High School: "Catch the energy, release the potential."
- Elaine Wyllie, Pride of Britain, Teacher of the Year: "Miles Ahead: a school that fired start on running revolution."
- Emma Jackson, Author and Rotherham Sexual Exploitation Survivor: "Shattering the silence: Campaigning for change."
- Josh Littlejohn, Founder, Social Bite Scotland: "Food for thought."
- Errol Lawson, Entrepreneur and Author of "From the Postcode to the Globe."

As key speaker, Martin Crewe, Director, Barnardo's Scotland, opened the day, talking about the "Named Person and Getting It Right for Every Child." The day continued with speeches and presentations from:

- Dr Deirdre McCormick, Professional Nurse Advisor, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

- Paula Huddart, Group Manager, Early Intervention Services, West Lothian Council
- Maureen Falconer, Senior Policy Officer, Information Commissioner's Office
- Bernadette Duddy, Integration Manager, Education and Children's Services and Anne Aderdein, Development Officer, Health and Wellbeing Fife Council
- John Barrett, eHealth Programme Manager, NHS Ayreshire and Arrand and Alex Scott, Deputy Headteacher, Girvan Academy

Attended by a wide variety of organisations from across the
Scottish Third Sector and Scottish Councils, the breakout sessions were very interactive and provided useful feedback. Topics discussed included "Third Sector compass to partnership: what research tells us good partnership is in practice," and "Volunteering: its impact for people with complex needs." The Event focused on the knowledge, understanding and current application of SDS within the Scottish Children & Family Services. Breakout sessions concentrated on learning how other services have efficiently incorporated SDS into their everyday workplace ethos.
