Cunningham House

Cunningham House is a short-stay, supported hostel for homeless people located in the heart of Edinburgh. The hostel has 23 rooms, 20 for men and 3 for women. The hostel provides a safe, supportive environment where residents can address the issues and circumstances that have led to homelessness. Cunningham House is a dry house; no alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises.

There are self catering facities for residents and support is available for budgeting and food preparation where required.

We work with single homeless people (18-65) who have additional support needs they wish support with; such as offending, drug, alcohol and mental health matters. A person can stay at Cunningham House initially for up to 2 years . During this time they will be supported by a keyworker who will work with them to develop a personal support plan for their stay. They will meet regularly with their keyworker, gaining help to find permanent accommodation and assistance with other issues they wish to address.
