Donald Carmichael

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 and a time in general practice, Donald spent the majority of his working life as managing director of a large family business in the automotive sector until its successful sale in 2019. He now looks after a portfolio of commercial properties.

A former Council member of ICAS and Trustee of the Central Boards of the Church of Scotland, convening its Finance Committee for 5 years, Donald is also an Elder at Giffnock Orchardhill Parish Church, an occasional Worship Leader and is shortly to end a time as an Interim Moderator.

Currently, Donald is Honorary Treasurer of the trade body for the UK tyre distributors, a Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights, Freeman of the City of London, a Governor of The Glasgow Academy and recently elected Vice Dean of Guild of the Merchants House of Glasgow.

He is Married to Fiona with three children in full time education.
