Family fun day with focus on recovery

A family fun day, with a focus on recovery, was enjoyed by all on Friday at Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve. 

CrossReach Glasgow Recovery Services, were one of several recovery groups in attendance on the day, organised by North West Recovery Communities. 

CrossReach Glasgow Residential Recovery Service supports people who are committed to living drug and alcohol free, and explores the reasons for substance use through evidence-based group work, one to one support and other therapeutic experiences. 

The event brought together several recovery services, offering advice to attendees, and combined the education with fun and games including bouncy castle, live music, food and chess. 

Catriona McCabe, service manager at CrossReach Glasgow Recovery Services, said:

We were delighted to see so many people looking so well after being in our services & continuing their recovery journeys. 

Huge thank you to the willing gang of people who helped put up our gazebo and then helped us take it down!
